WHAT WAS YOUR DREAM JOB AS A CHILD?
Truck Driver – 18-wheelers… I even subscribed to Overdrive magazine.
WHAT PROVOKED YOUR INTEREST IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE?
Lobstering. I know it is a strange way to get interested in commercial real estate, but I worked on a lobster boat after graduating from college and the owner of the boat was starting to buy and develop commercial land. He encouraged me to get into the business.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR POSITION?
Winning and Closing. I love when we win an assignment, when one of my clients sells a building, finds a new space, buys a new investment – these are the great moments and why we work in this business.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING FOR FUN OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Skiing (ideally in British Columbia – best powder) and water-skiing on Sebago Lake.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Professional – Becoming Partner and Managing Director of our company in 2013
Personal – My kids (8, 6, and 4) and wife still look forward to my arrival at home every day after work.
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER HERO POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Flying, of course.
IF YOU COULD EAT ONLY ONE THING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I want to say pizza, but sushi would be a healthier choice.
FAVORITE STARBUCKS DRINK: short, dark roast, no room for cream. (Short is even smaller than a “Tall”)
FAVORITE CITY: Portland, Maine, with Seattle a close second.
DREAM JOB (If you didn’t work for CBRE | The Boulos Company, of course): Commercial Property Landlord. (Ideally properties would be net-leased buildings to A-credit tenants, long leases and no debt.)
LITTLE KNOWN FACT: I grew up with a sawmill in my backyard and built barns until I was 20.
